Celebrating the Fourth of July ...

We headed up to Pinetop to celebrate the Fourth and stay with our friends Kim & Marilyn. What a great time we had and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Lizzie enjoyed playing with Chrissy Bella, the cat while Nate and I were relieved to be out of the heat. Thanks guys for a great time and use of Emily's room!!! :)

Lizzie fell in love with Kim & Marilyn's new bear. It was just her size. She would stand by the bear and talk to it and hold hands with it.

On our way home on the 4th, we stopped in Globe for supper and happen to time it right to watch the fireworks. What a grand display! The fireworks went on for over 45 minutes when we decided to head on home. On our way out of town, we actually got to drive right under the fireworks as they were being set off from the mine. What an experience. I would highly recommend the short drive to Globe for next year as it was truly amazing!!!

After we left Globe and were heading down into the Valley, we could see many firework shows. By the time we got home, we had seen over 15 clusters of fireworks. What an awesome way to end such a special day!!!
